Bookstore Hours:
Tuesday and Thursday 1 – 5 PM
Saturday 10 AM – 5 PM

The Friends’ Bookstore, which is located on the ground level at 625 North San Vicente Boulevard, is stocked with donations and staffed by volunteers. All proceeds benefit the Library.  

The Bookstore features a large selection of material across all genres with specialty areas on Hollywood, art & design, spirituality, vintage paperbacks and many signed collectible editions.  The Bookstore holds regular sales with up to 50% off all merchandise. These sales are announced to members in advance and posted on the Friends of the West Hollywood Library Facebook page and Instagram account.   The Bookstore depends on donated materials to stock the shelves. Donations are tax deductible and donors receive a form acknowledging their donation. Donated materials are non-returnable.

Donations - Guidelines for Donations

• Donations can be made at the Library or the Friends' Bookstore during hours of operation only.

• Please call ahead for larger donations 323-929-2359 (Voice message only.)

• Donations must be made in small boxes or bags that can easily be carried.

• Items in poor condition cannot be accepted. This includes stained, water damaged, moldy or mildewed, marked, dirty or dusty items.

• Items that cannot be accepted include out of date travel books, medical books, text books, magazines, VHS tapes, and ex-library books.

Gift cards are available for purchase in the Bookstore in denominations of $10.00, $15.00, $20.00 and $25.00 and may be personalized to reflect the giver and recipient names.
